WOW - Westwood, California resident Lindsey Rosin and her sister recently had an opportunity see the members of popular music sensation NSYNC up-close at the Rose Bowl, thanks to Verizon Wireless, sponsor of the NSYNC POP ODYSSEY Tour. See Picture

The passes were donated to Dollar Driving School, a member of the Driving School Association of California (DSAC), as a reward to Lindsey for achieving a perfect score on the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving exam. Lindsey Rosin and her sister entered the concert early and watched NSYNC perform songs before the show. In addition, they attended the full concert, also courtesy of Verizon Wireless.

According to Robert Stahl, past president of the DSAC, Dollar Driving School is presently piloting a program that it hopes to roll out statewide next year through the DSAC. The objective is to encourage young drivers to obtain a 100 percent score on their DMV drive test by means of corporate support in the way of meaningful prizes.

"Young students who start their driving experience with a top notch grade on the DMV exam have a better chance of exhibiting safe driving behavior on the road," said Robert Jay Stahl, past president, DSAC. "We are pleased that Verizon Wireless chose to support our pilot program by donating the NSYNC sound check passes, which were used to reward Lindsey for performing the driving habits the DSAC seeks to teach all of its students."

"Verizon Wireless is setting an example with its participation by proving its concern for responsible driving behavior, and a commitment to its improvement, and we encourage businesses throughout California to join in and support this new exciting endeavor, added Stahl."

Verizon Wireless recently announced a partnership with the DSAC to bring responsible driving information to student drivers who may use wireless phones in automobiles. As part of Verizon Wireless' nationwide consumer education effort, "Drive Responsibly. Call with Care," the company developed a curriculum package designed to teach young drivers that, when operating a motor vehicle, their first responsibility is safe driving.

"As an NSYNC tour sponsor, Verizon Wireless was glad to be able to offer the passes to special guests" said Verizon Wireless regional president Mike Finley. "We chose to provide the passes to the DSAC because we share a common goal-helping the drivers of tomorrow learn safe, defensive driving habits."
